Wikipedia Trails: From Myths to the Odyssey

Myths I did not know where to start so I began broadly with myths. This was cool because it gave me a basic background for mythology as a whole. I then clicked onto greek mythology to be more specific.

Greek Mythology I feel like most of us have encountered greek mythology in high school or college but it was neat to dive back into it. There is so much more to it than what was covered through bits and pieces of history classes.

Homeric Hymns Honestly I thought it meant Homer by homeric hymns. I did not realize they were anonymous and just attributed to homer because of their style. I also did not realize there were 33. When you hear about homeric hymns, it is mostly just the Iliad and the Odyssey. It is also cool that they were all for different gods.

Odyssey The famous Odyssey was my stopping point. I read it in high school and still have a copy sitting on my bookshelf. It is still a weird story to me but I am glad to revisit it. Odysseus definitely had an interesting life. Also having just read the words about it, it was cool to see all the depictions of pictures included in this article.
