Famous Last Words: 11 days to go

I think that the crash course videos will forever be my favorite reading assignment. They are just so fun and packed full of so much information. I have made it through quite a few and even when I finish up class this week, I am going to keep watching them. I really liked this week about creation stories because it is so interesting what people came up with as what they believe brought them here.
My best writing this week was probably personal writing I did. I started journaling/ attempting poetry this week. I am trying to be lenient with myself and give myself room to make mistakes, but I am not very good at that. I have a tendency to want to be perfect at everything from the beginning, which is not very growth mindset oriented or helpful.
My other classes are going well. One by one they are starting to wrap up which is crazy. I feel like august and September were both 5 months long, October was a regular month, and November was 2 days. Everything just seems to be speeding up.
Outside of school, things are well. My dog loves mud so it feels like I spent most of the weekend bathing her because she found the one mud puddle at the dog park.
Next week, is go time. I have a test this week, 2 papers, and to finish this class up. I also have my mom’s birthday this weekend, which means I will be going home to Tulsa and so I will not have a lot of time for classes. This is frustrating, but also I would not miss my mom’s birthday for a million classes, nor have I missed one yet, so I just have to power through it. I always seem to end up on a borderline somewhere so I am a tad worried about a few of my classes so I have to put in some real work the next couple days but I have faith I can do it.

I was minding my own business one day, as I always do, and then I heard the saddest noise. It was a girl crying so I followed the sound to the castle. There I found the most beautiful woman. She told me of the predicament she found herself in. It seems that there was a misunderstanding between her and her mother.             It all began with a slip of a few words, which led her to believe she could eat the five pies her mother had just baked. It was a simple confusion, but of course, her mother was angry. To taunt her about the mistake she began to sing a song about it, but it also so happen that the king was walking by that day and heard the mother’s song. The mother was embarrassed that her daughter had been so thoughtless and ate all five pies, so when asked about the song, the mother said that it was about her daughter sewing five gold strings.
