Beauty and the beast
- man has 3 daughters
- man was merchant and had to go away
- he asked the daughters what they wanted
- eldest said necklace
- middle said gold chain
- youngest just said for him to return but when pressed she said a rose
- he went out and got the necklace and chain
- on his way home, he plucked a rose
- when he did, a beast appeared
- he said the merchant was a thief and owed his life
- the merchant explained the rose was for his daughter
- beast asked the daughter be brought to him
- the merchant brought his daughter and together they noticed the house was enchanted
- the girl was left with the beast and as the days went by they became friends
- one day, the beast did not show up and when bella went to look for him, he was dead in the garden
- she wept because she had fallen in love with him
- as she wept, he split in two coming to life again as a young handsome prince
- he sent for her family, and the two were married
- they all lived together happily ever after
